Challenge
Wayfair had a visibility problem, not an image problem. Candidates in tech, product, and operations knew it as a home goods destination, which was true, and stopped there. What they didn't see was one of the largest supply chain and logistics operations in retail, the engineering behind it, or the kind of problems that would actually interest them. The story didn't stand up in a market where those candidates had their pick, and internal teams had no consistent version of it to tell.
